The lake draws its popularity from the fact that it is the saltiest water body on earth. The water has been said to be 8 to 10 times saltier compared to the water in the ocean. It is a perfect travel destination for couples looking for a relaxing experience.
According to The Times of Israel, in 2017 Israel received 3.6 million visitors and the Dead Sea was highlighted as one of the key areas where the visitors flocked. It’s the Saltiest Water Body
The fact that it is the saltiest water body is one of top reasons why it should be on your bucket list. You will never come across another lake or ocean that is as salty. The water is so salty, that you can’t swim. However, you get to float on the water without making any effort. Visitors enjoy the water body, just laying back and enjoying the cool moments. This would be a great opportunity to make some wonderful memories as a couple while floating on the water’s surface.
It’s a Natural Spa
Going to the spa is one of the fun activities that every couple needs. Why not take advantage of the natural spa offered by the salty lake? The black mud found at the sea is great for your skin. It is rich in minerals such as Magnesium, Sodium, Calcium, and Potassium. Have fun with your spouse collecting the mud and smearing it all over your bodies. When you go to the water, take care to avoid getting the salt into your eyes. Move slowly and avoid splashing. If you have a cut or wound, consider wrapping it with a waterproof bandage as this can be super painful too. Also, avoid shaving a day or two before you go to the water. The salty water is fun but it can cause a lot of pain even to the smallest cut. Finally, don’t stay in the water for too long and clean up as soon as you get out.
