1. Victoria  – Drive along Great Ocean Road

It’s named one of the most beautiful scenic coastal drives in the world and you can definitely understand why.  Take your time exploring the 200 mile road that starts from Torquay.  It was built in the 1930’s and today has visitors from all around the world experiencing the amazing surroundings.  One of your stops has to be Otway National Park.  Visit at night so you can see the glow worms!  This is one of the most popular Australia destinations.

2. Tasmania – Get back to nature

Over 45% of Tasmania is protected which means one thing, beautiful National Parks. There are 19 of them!  If you go to Freycinet National Park they are some of the world’s most stunning beaches.  If you want more of a challenge then take an adventure to Cradle Mountain- Lake St Clare National Park and see some of the amazing views of this area.

3. Northern Territory – Explore the Northern Territory outback

This striking landscape includes the famous Ayers Rock and dramatic cliffs of Kings Canyon in the Watarrka Park.  The outback is something not to be missed to get the real Australian experience.  Visit here from April to August as the humidity will be down and so will the temperature.  If you love the outdoors and want to know some more about the history of Australia this is a great place to come.  From red deserts to hidden waterholes, white untouched beaches and dramatic rock formations, it can look like you’re on another planet.

4. New South Wales – Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge

One of the most iconic bridges of all time is the Sydney Harbour Bridge.  Sydney itself has a range of diverse suburbs so you could be having lunch on the bustling harbour, then visit one of the many beautiful beaches in the area like Bondi, Coogee, Manly and many others nearby.  If you want good shopping and nightlife then head to the CBD.  Make sure you climb the bridge to get some epic panoramic views of the city.

5. South Australia – Discover the most delicious state!

If you want to try some of the most delicious wines in the world this is where you need to go.  There are over 200 wineries within an hour of Adelaide.  Two of the most well-known wine regions are Barossa Valley and Clare Valley, which is where some of the award winning drops of fine wine is made.  South Australia also has some spectacular views.

Queensland is one of my favourite Australia destinations!

6. Queensland – Swim around the Whitsundays

Queensland, also known as the ‘Sunshine State’ is home to the mind-blowing Whitsundays.  It can only be described as a tropical paradise because of the swirling white sand and clear blue waters.  Airlie Beach is the most popular way to get there.  From there you can catch a boat to where you would like to go; you have 74 islands to choose from so it might be a hard decision!

7. Western Australia – Vast deserted beaches to explore

Western Australia takes up one-third of the country.  You can drive for hours without seeing a single person which makes this part of Australia an untouched delight.  Perth is known as the most isolated city on Earth which really puts it into perspective as to how big Western Australia is.   Take a self-drive journey around this enormous and remarkable place.

Australia is home to some of the most jaw-dropping scenery in the world.  Its land mass is enormous which makes it hard to pick which places to visit in Australia. This is only a taste of what this beautiful country has to offer.  Tell me which Australia destinations you would love to visit.
