I was excited when Level 8 reached about and wanted me to test this carry-on luggage so let’s get into the key features to see if this is your next carry-on purchase!

Let’s go through some of the best features that this carry-on has to offer.
1. Quick-Access Sleeves for Laptop and Tablet
This is the first time I’ve seen a carry-on with an external laptop compartment.
Maybe I’ve been living under a rock but this was my first time using this feature on a suitcase.
If you travel with a laptop or tablet this is such a vital feature that you need to have so you can easily access your laptop at all times without having to open the entire bag.
Sometimes airlines will try to make you put your hand luggage under the plane if the plane is full so if this happens you can easily take out your valuables and hand over your suitcase.
There’s not just one pocket for your laptop, there are actually multiple compartments in there which is really handy for your tablet or any other gear you might be carrying.
This was my favourite feature of this carry-on luggage!
2. USB charging port
I was most excited about this feature because I’m always lugging around my power bank in my handbag.
A power bank is not included so if you don’t have one you have to purchase that separately but if you do have that, you can pop it in the laptop compartment and connect it here so that you can charge it on the go.
3. TSA-Approved Dual Locking System with Dedicated Front-Pocket Lock
Obviously safety is a key feature of any suitcase.
The road runner and most if not all Level 8 suitcases have the TSA-approved system.
Because there’s the laptop compartment in the front you actually have two locks one for the laptop compartment and one for the main area.
4. Water-Resistant Shell to Protect Your Valuables
One thing I really love about this suitcase is its sturdiness AND that it’s waterproof.
I travelled with soft-shell suitcases for many years and it was always so annoying when I had to drag my suitcase through water or when it would rain when I was lugging it around and all my stuff would be wet inside.
The road runner has a sturdy shell so that will never happen.

That also means this item will last for YEARS because of the material used.
The only downside I noticed is that it can get easily scratched. This is a downfall of all hard shell suitcases normally though so it’s not just a Level 8 thing.
5. Maximizing Space and Organization
One thing I love about the inside of this suitcase is the amount of space and compartments it offers.
You get the two sides of the suitcase to fill up with each having their own doors so everything doesn’t fall out when you open it.
But also on one of the sides, you get these awesome pockets.
One is waterproof so for example, maybe you are stopping over at Singapore airport and you want to take advantage of the free pool they have on their roof.
But you’re worried because you have nowhere to put your wet swimsuit afterwards. Well, you can pop it in this waterproof compartment and it won’t get your other items wet!
6. Stylish and Sophisticated Design
I know that this is not a key feature for some but I always like to have beautiful things and the Road Runner Pro is very beautiful!
It’s a sleek design, simple and very high quality.
It has that feel of luxury and it is definitely one of the more stylish hand luggage options on the market.
Overall I think level 8 makes BEAUTIFUL suitcases.
7. 1-year warranty
This is always something I look out for in a luggage product because if anything goes wrong you’re covered.
Level 8 has a 1 year warranty on their products which seems fair so you can feel safe and sound knowing that if something were to go wrong you can easily get in contact with them and find a solution.

Is the Road Runner Pro worth it?
I definitely think The Road Runner Pro is a strong option if you’re looking for a new hand luggage case, especially if you’re a creator, go on business trips or just like travelling with technology because the extra compartment for your valuables is really handy.
I have already tested its use and durability as I had to travel from Albania to Greece and then back again to pick up this product and take it home.
