Walking into the fairy-tale town of Český Krumlov I instantly fell in love. Luckily for me, I was also staying in fairy-tale-like accommodation in Cesky Krumlov called Pension Galko. I enjoyed my two nights here immensely and was extremely sad when I eventually had to leave and carry on with my travels.
The best accommodation in Cesky Krumlov
I stayed in one of the apartments on the first floor. There were two bedrooms, a fully functional kitchen, dining area and a decent sized bathroom as well. The interior was decorated beautifully and really tied in with the style of Český Krumlov. This apartment would be ideal for a family! It was such a cosy place to stay, everything was clean and tidy.
During my stay at Pension Galko, I cooked quite a lot as there are one mini market and a supermarket nearby. The kitchen had all the utensils and cooking supplies you would ever need, which is great if you’re coming to a place like Český Krumlov as food is a bit more expensive than elsewhere in the Czech Republic.
I had fantastic WIFI during my stay, which is always a huge plus in my books! The reception is downstairs located in the shop and is open from 8.30am until 6 pm every day. The staff are always happy to help! Breakfast is not included in the price, however, there is an option to do so if you just ask the staff.
The location of this pension was an absolute highlight. Located right in the heart of the UNESCO town of Český Krumlov, Pension Galko was easy to find and a great base to explore the city. There are fantastic restaurants nearby and all the attractions to see are less than a 10-minute walk.
You can explore the city easily in one day, however, I really loved the vibe of this place. I visited during winter which was nice as it was super quiet. I have heard in the summer it can get extremely busy! I would recommend staying at least a couple of nights, so you can really take in the beauty of this place. Honestly, I could have quite happily stayed an extra 2 nights here!
The Pension Galko was a wonderful place to stay which I can highly recommend to all! If I ever come back to Český Krumlov then I am definitely staying here again.

A big thank you to Pension Galko for having me. Although this accommodation was sponsored, as always, all opinions are my own and I would never recommend a place unless I 100% loved it!
